ESCOP Summerschool

The Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language is pleased to announce the ESCOP Summerschool on language. The overarching goal of the summer school is to bring together scientists with different perspectives and methodological approaches to the study of language to give an overview of the debates and advances in the field. The summer school will be held between July 14th and 19th, 2014 in Donostia - San Sebastian, Spain.

This summer school has been created to highlight recent advances and new challenges in language research in a wide range of topics including speech perception and production, language acquisition, bilingualism, reading, sign language, etc. and to familiarize attendees with cutting edge techniques such as fMRI, MEG, EEG, eyetracking, etc.

The summer school is targeted at mid-to-senior (second year or later) graduate students and junior postdoctoral researchers, although applications from all graduate students and postdoctoral researchers will be considered. Priority will be given to ESCOP members (membership). Members of under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
