DECONVOLUTION ALGORITHMS FOR FMRI DATA

  • Paradigm Free Mapping:

The PFM algorithm performs the voxelwise deconvolution of the fMRI signal using the sparse regression estimators of LASSO and Dantzig Selector based on a given hemodynamic (forward) model of the BOLD response. This enables to map the response to single-trial BOLD events without prior information of their timing, i.e. a blind detection approach for the analysis of fMRI data. The code of this algorithm is implemented in R and freely distributed as part of the AFNI software:

  • Multiecho Paradigm Free Mapping:

This algorithm is the extension of PFM for multi-echo fMRI data. It is also freely distributed as part of AFNI: https://afni.nimh.nih.gov/pub/dist/doc/program_help/3dMEPFM.html
