The Lab Department at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (San Sebastián) aims to sponsor a candidate for an Ikerlan Fellowship - a competitive program for the recruitment of young researchers to carry out research projects in Basque companies, awarded by Lanbide, the Basque Public Eployment Service. Job description: 

The selected candidate will be involved in the acquisition and processing of participant data in the context of the development and validation of digital tools for the diagnosis of different language-related disorders. Specifically, the selected candidate would combine clinical work and research activities:

  • Cognitive, linguistic and neuropsychological assessments of participants, including their longitudinal monitoring.
  • Recruitment and management of participants database
  • Participation in the analysis, interpretation and publication of data.

The department:

The Laboratory Department has several techniques for the study of brain activity and cognition, such as MEG, fMRI, BH, Eyetracking, EEG, and OCT. In addition, it includes a dedicated Babylab.

 

  1. CANDIDATE PROFILE AND SELECTION CRITERIA

Required skills:

  • Degree in Psychology, and/or Speech-Language Pathology, Master in Neuropsychology
  • Native speaker of Spanish and Basque. Good command of English.
  • Ability and willingness to interact with elderly populations

Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience in the design and implementation of experimental tasks. 

Eligibility:

  • Be under 30 years of age
  • Unemployed and be registered as a job seeker at any public employment service on the day prior to the start of the contract

Salary: 22.000€ gross annual salary
