What: Modulating human brain function using closed-loop neurofeedback
Where: BCBL Zoom Room # 2 (online talk) (If you would like to attend to this meeting reserve at info@bcbl.eu)
Who: Prof. Frank Scharnowski, Head of the Department of Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology; Faculty of Psychology, University of Vienna, Austria.
When: Thursday, Nov 9th at 12:00 Noon.
Neurofeedback allows individuals to gain voluntary control over their brain activity. Successful self-regulation of brain activity can improve behavior and clinical conditions. Using case studies in areas such as emotion regulation and addiction, I will introduce new brain training paradigms based on connectivity measures, inter-brain synchrony (hyperfeedback), and adaptive closed-loop neurofeedback to shape brain dynamics. I will also present data science approaches to identify factors underlying successful neurofeedback training.
