Job description:
The candidate will play a crucial role in the shift from virtualized to containerized workloads. The candidate will collaborate closely with the senior engineering team to implement best practices, improve efficiency, and maintain robust security standards. Additionally, the candidate will assist in adapting systems and services to comply with the NIS2 directive.
Specific tasks include:
- Support the migration process from virtualized environments to containerized solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement secure configurations on container images.
- Assist in the evaluation and integration of tools that enhance infrastructure security and compliance with NIS2 standards.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to container orchestration and management.
- Contribute to documentation and training materials for system operations and best practices in cybersecurity.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in containerization and cybersecurity to drive continuous improvement.
The department:
The IT Department is a small but dynamic team of four dedicated professionals who support operations for both research and non-research personnel. With a strong emphasis on open-source technologies, the team is committed to delivering innovative solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration across the organization.
- CANDIDATE PROFILE AND SELECTION CRITERIA
Required skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- High English, Spanish and Basque language level.
Desirable skills:
- Good social skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
Eligibility:
- Be under 30 years of age
- Unemployed and be registered as a job seeker at any public employment service on the day prior to the start of the contract
