Back Past events: The BCBL opens a clinic for the advanced diagnosis of language disorders

Today, the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL) officially opened its advanced diagnostic Neure Clinic. Located on the center's main premises in Donostia, its main objective is to provide comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses in the field of language disorders, such as dyslexia, specific language disorder (TEL) or aphasia.
The opening ceremony, held this afternoon at the facilities of the BCBL, was attended by the Minister of Education, Cristina Uriarte, and the Deputy for Economic Promotion, Rural Area and Territorial Balance of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Ainhoa Aizpuru.
Representatives of the BCBL's founding partners also took part in the event, including the Basque Government, Ikerbasque, Innobasque, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), as well as representatives of various associations of families and children affected by language disorders. Among these associations, it is worth mentioning TEL Euskadi, whose donation has contributed to creating the clinic; this and other associations have been able to learn about the equipment of the Neure Clinic.
